- Cool Blocks are self-lubricating enabling them to withstand the heat.
- Eliminate blade damage that occurs when teeth contact the metal blocks/bearings
- 8 blocks per pack. Only need 4 to fit upper and lower guides at a time.
For 14" Band Saws. Contains: 4 guide blocks 1/2" x 1/2" x 1" are OVERSIZED 1/2" to ensure proper fit due to casting irregularities. Cool Blocks blade guides are made from non-metallic composite material, impregnated phenolic laminate which contains three synthetic dry lubricants that lubricate the blade but do not make it oily. The metal to metal contact made by old metal guide blocks creates heat and friction which cause premature blade wear and breakage. Be careful how much you tighten the set screws, they are not made of steel. When setting them up adjust them just behind the blade's cutting teeth.
