The VOTEX drain plug will operate in temperatures to 150Â°C or 302Â°F. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250 degrees, but starts breaking down once you reach 275 degrees. The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 to 230Â°F, so our magnet will work in temperatures far past that of engine oil.
