This painstaking work and thorough quality checks result in the final product that is of the highest quality, durability, and safety. * The UMMY is sealed in a hygienic pouch and then placed inside the box, which is made solely of cardboard. There are no windows in the packaging as prolonged exposure to light causes natural rubber to gradually change color. * The UMMY shield is flat, allowing the muscles of the mouth and the lips to have freedom of movement and thus encouraging muscle activity and development. The comparatively large size of the shield prevents the baby from squeezing it enough to fit into the mouth. Because of its softness, the shield will not leave marks on baby's face. * Three large ventilation apertures on the shield help prevent skin irritation caused by prolonged contact with saliva. * Since the UMMY is manufactured in one piece, there are no joints or cracks, thus minimizing the number of places for bacteria to accumulate. * The grip ring is soft and comfortable for the baby during tummy time. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Must be sterilized before first use by boiling for several minutes. To be washed carefully after every use under running water. Do not put in dishwasher or steam sterilizer.
