Tennyson 'Ten' St. John: The Searcher - Book 3 - Discovery: A Western Adventure (The Searcher Western Series)

Starting out for Tucson, Ten and Lolotea are married by a traveling preacher. Ten finds out his Pa went to Salt Lake City, so they head that way. After crossing the Colorado River, Ten has to take a job as Deputy Sheriff of Kanab, Utah. He stops a major bank robbery, then is accused of stealing a horse. This is simply a cover allowing Lolotea to be kidnapped by a self-important Mormon Elder. When the Elder doesnâ€™t show for the trial, Ten is released. He faces hostile Utes, a vengeful old man and his sons, and near death from wounds in his search for Lolotea. An old man from his Paâ€™s past comes along and helps him rescue Lolotea. The old man is killed in a shoot-out with past enemies, but lives long enough to give Ten some confusing news.
