- 1 INCH WEBBING FACTS – The 1 inch wide lightweight polypropylene webbing is 0.04 inches thick. It has a breaking strength of 600 pounds and a melting point of 300 degrees F.
- FADE RESISTANT- Polypropylene webbing is made from thermoplastic resins. The material is resistant to moisture, acids, oil and grease. It even has some ability to float on water.

Polypropylene is perfect for outdoor use, with decent UV and mildew resistance and some ability to float over water. It resists acid, alkalies, oil, and grease better than nylon webbings, and will not stretch or color-bleed when wet. While not as strong as nylon or polyester webbings in terms of break-strength, Lightweight Polypropylene is easier to sew, cut, and fold, and is much less expensive. In short, it's an excellent value for many applications, from light duty tie-down straps to craft projects to do-it-yourself (DIY) repairs around the house.
