EXPERT APPROVED. “Schleich playsets and figurines inspire kids to play imaginatively: an essential part of healthy childhood development so often overlooked in today’s fast-paced world.” - Dr. Sandra Stone, open-ended play expert
The Schleich figurines are exceptionally detailed, lovingly painted and allow children to play and learn at the same time. The Pteranodon was one of the largest pterosaurs in the Cretaceous period. The striking bony crest on the rear of its head provided a counterweight to its long beak. It probably didn’t flap its wings very often, but instead took advantage of the wind to glide through the air – similar to an albatross.
