Into that life the old enemy returns. This time it is suspected that they have designs on Earth itself. General Cara Corby is now Commander In Chief of the Commonwealth Forces, so calls on Natasha to leave the bed of her lover and undertake one more covert operation to take a new weapon into the heart of enemy territory to see to them for once and for all.
She gets in and activates the weapon, but in a cruel twist of fate, Natasha it thrust through the very fabric of the Space/time continuum and finds herself crashing on Earth in a time she would much rather have never seen again. She never knew whether she was successful or not.
Sparking off a UFO scare when her damaged craft is forced to crash-land, the military and law enforcement agencies begin to close in. Natasha has to survive by dredging up some of those memories she thought she could have left as being forgotten. Natasha wakes up having been rescued from where her ship crashes on a moor in Scotland in the year 2012; two years before Peter Bryant is killed in a car crash.
Will she ever find a person and a place to which she can belong?
