Create perfectly placed and routed picture-hanging t-slot recesses with the POWERTEC 71120 Picture Hanging Keyhole Template. Our handy 3â€ x 9â€ template features three precut slots; one long slot (6-1/8â€) that is often used for making horizontal slots for horizontal picture placement, and two shorter slots (1-7/8â€ each) that are ideal for cutting symmetrical slots on both sides of a frame. Each slot profile includes a wood chip vent to prevent routing debris build-up. Typically, the template is used in conjunction with a plunge router, a 5/8â€ short shank guide bushing and nut combo, and a 3/8â€ long hanger bit. Constructed of 1/4â€ clear hardened acrylic, this precision device offers the utmost in durability and easy-view routing. When aligning the template with your workpiece, itâ€™s best to secure the guide with double-sided tape. Ultimately, you canâ€™t go wrong with this indispensable component.
