GreenSaver's all-natural, non-toxic activated carbon filters are filled with nooks and crannies that trap and absorb ethylene gas, slowing down spoilage and keeping fruits and vegetables fresh longer. Storing produce in a crowded crisper or in plastic bags limits airflow and traps produce against the sides of the drawer or bag, enabling moisture buildup and creating prime conditions for rotting. GreenSaver produce keepers feature an elevated, removable basket that promotes proper airflow and helps prevent moisture buildup by lifting produce up and away from the bottom and sides of the container.
