- Push button once for Cricket in Charge mode. Press the button twice and try Drag Racing mode with a friend and his Bug Racer (sold separately).
- In AUTODRIVE mode the car drives automatically, without the need for a cricket and in Light Show mode press the button a fourth time to get a light show and better observe your cricket!
- The Bug Racer includes vehicle wings, a collection device, a control room, magnifying window, bug button, stickers and on/off switch.
- To get started insert batteries and place the habitat with a live small to medium cricket inside the vehicle. Cricket not included.

There is also an AUTODRIVE mode for pre-programmed steering without the cricket and a light show option so you can check on the cricket. The habitat has a magnifying window and chambers for food. The cricket habitat is secure and easy to clean and includes a cricket collector! The Bug Racer vehicle has 20+ sound effects and includes wings, a collection device, stickers, control room, magnifying window, bug button and an on/off switch.
