Malossol cured Russian Osetra Sturgeon Black Caviar, hand packed and quality checked for color, size, freshness, flavor and texture. Defined as salty, non-fertilized fish eggs from sturgeon, black caviars are highly regarded by culinary enthusiasts the world over. Of the many sources for black caviar, the most notable are the Osetra, Beluga and Sevruga Sturgeon.
Marky's Siberian Sturgeon caviar is made from farm-raised Siberian Sturgeons. Its medium-sized glistening grains have a silky, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
When kept refrigerated below 38 °F (3.3 °C), unopened caviar has up to a 6 week shelf life. Once opened, it's best to consume it within 3 days.
Siberian sturgeon is a species of sturgeon in the Acipenseridae family. This species is native to all Siberian rivers which drain into the Kara, Laptev and East Siberian seas and basins of the Ob, Taz, Yenisei, Pyasina etc. They can be found in all types of freshwater benthic habitats in large rivers and lakes. Siberian Sturgeon is the only sturgeon that is widely farmed-raised in many parts of the world, including Europe, South America and China. The Siberian Sturgeon Caviar comes from the Siberian Sturgeons farmed by fisheries in Florida under conditions close to their native habitat. Due to its upper-middle tier pricing, it would not be preferable for large scale use or to cater a large event. This is a great choice to add variability to a caviar menu at a restaurant or a retail store. Siberian Sturgeon is a common substitute for Russian Osetra and is the most abundant caviar in the European and South American markets. It is greatly appreciated by caviar connoisseurs and can be enjoyed either alone or with accompaniments. - Manufacturer: Marky's - Brand: Marky's Caviar - Origin: USA, Bascom (Florida) - Size: Firm, medium size beads - Color: Light to dark gray - Flavor: Subtle, smooth, firm bead with a strong taste of the sea - Shipping: Product is perishable and will be shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight - Preparation: Fresh Frozen, Cured with Salt - Packaging: Jar / Tin - Storage Type: Only Refrigerated (29 - 32F), the product is perishable! - Best served on a blini with crème fraiche or other accompaniments - Drinks: champagne brut, Blanc de Blanc or dry white wine Attention: CITES certificate needed for export of this product.
