Self-Aligning Feature: These bearings use wide inner ring ball bearings with self-aligning spherical outside diameters that compensate for shaft misalignment.
Pre-lubricated: Bearings come pre-lubricated and ready for immediate installation. A grease fitting is supplied for re-lubrication.

Selection of the appropriate bearings can be achieved based on the size of the shaft and the load requirements. Pillow block bearings are made to support a shaft, the mounting surface is on a parallel line with the axis of the shaft. Elongated bolt holes in the base of the unit allow for some adjustment and easy mounting of the pillow block bearing. Specific dimensions and measurements of pillow block bearings are most important for purchasing the right pillow block for an use as an original to the equipment or as an aftermarket replacement. The shaft diameter is matched with the correct corresponding bore dimensions of the bearing unit. When the correct sized unit matching the shaft is selected, the bearing will slide onto the shaft and into position, ready to be secured by the locking device. Shaft height is determined by measuring the distance from the base of the pillow block to the center of the shaft.
