Hoka Speed Instinct Trail Running Shoes Seamless Air Mesh The Hoka Speed Instinct's upper is made from a superbly breathable, seamless air mesh, which is super lightweight; allowing cool air to flow into the shoe at the same time as releasing warm air from the shoe, keeping the foot as cool, dry and comfortable as possible. The external web design has been added to provide zonal support and comfort for key areas of the foot. Synthetic overlays across the upper also offer additional support to key areas along the foot. The padded tongue offers a plush fit while helping to prevent chafe and discomfort. A reinforced toe cap has been added to the shoe to protect the front of the foot from debris and tricky terrain, increasing its abrasion resistance. Early-Stage Meta-Rocker Midsole The Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculptured outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair, to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off.
