The Ancient Greeks loved to tell stories about their gods.
These stories are known as myths which is short for mythology or stories about gods.
Each storyteller told their stories differently, however the god's personality and the power they hold is the same in every
version, for example Poseidon was the God of the oceans and carried a trident.

The world in which these stories are set were turbulent times in which the Gods would argue, fight and punish each other
and anyone that they felt had wronged them or had something that they wanted,however they didn't always get their own way!
These myths would often have morals to them in order to teach as well as entertain and were popular ways to teach children
right from wrong.
