This book is designed to assist newly appointed police supervisors in developing a leadership style that is effective in today's ever changing culture. The lessons learned are equally applicable to those existing supervisors who wish to sharpen their leadership skills and abilities within their departments. The principles and examples presented have been the basis for both a college-level course on leadership and a ten year ongoing seminar series attended by over a thousand police supervisors.
