Recorded at Jamaicas legendary Tuff Gong Studios, the birthplace of some of the most influential reggae recordings ever produced, this new set from Jamaican born jazz pianist Monty Alexander picks up where Stir It Up: The Music of Bob Marley, his 1999 Telarc debut, leaves off. The album is a further exploration of the music and legacy of Bob Marley, with a dozen richly layered renditions of some of Marleys most memorable songs, including: "Africa Unite," "War," "Babylon System," "Forever Lovin Jah," "Trench Town" and of course, "Concrete Jungle." Guest musicians include Junior Jazz, Luciano and Delfeayo Marsalis and many others.
