What Are Mushrooms Use for? Mushrooms are used for treatment of diseases and research shows that they have the potential to act as antimicrobial, antiviral, anticancer, hypocholesterolemic (is the presence of abnormally low (hypo-) levels of cholesterol in the blood (-emia), antihyperglycemic (counteracting high levels of glucose in the blood) and anti-inflammatory activities.
