Travis Brent is recently divorced and lonely. He thinks at first that itâ€™s because of the loss of his estranged wife, but he soon realizes that he misses his Amish family most. He heads back to Lancaster for the first time in a decade, determined to make a new life amongst his brothers and their families in the peaceful community. Upon his return, he literally stumbles across an intense argument between two young boys and steps in to stop them, but winds up carrying a young mother to her home afterward.

Itâ€™s a childhood friend, and she has become beautiful during the decade heâ€™s been away. Although a friendship with her son is the start of their new relationship, the old friendship is rekindled.
