The powder is homogeneous, free flowing and light beige.
Visually the prepared medium is clear to slightly hazy and pale to light yellow
Expected cultural response after 5 days at 25-30.0°C.
Potato Dextrose Agar is recommended for the cultivation and isolation of yeasts and molds from dairy and food products. Lowering the pH to 3.5 +/- .1 inhibits bacterial growth and aids in the isolation of fungi.
