While 1984's Gettin' Ready and '85's Talk of the Town had garnered the group a burgeoning fan base thanks to club and radio favorites such as "After the Dance Is Through" and "Same Place, Same Time," Tina Scott, Roberta Stiger, and Robbie Danzie were now on the prowl for a solid image and hard-hitting musical style to take their collective name to the next level. Both "Passion from a Woman" and "Precious, Precious" proved to be game-changers for Krystol when they became the group's first top-40 entries on Billboard's R&B Singles chart.
