Joe Liggin's guitarist brother, Jimmy had just a handful of hits compared to his more distinguished brother whose career highlights can be heard on Jasmine CD JASMCD3064. Jimmy's raw R&B sound was distinctly different to the smooth almost urbane sounds of his elder brother but both of the brother have key recordings that give them equal stature amongst influential R&B performers of the 1940s and 50s.
