When his friends convince him to go to a new dragon-shifter club, Josh wants no part of it. He's trying to rebuild his life after a tragedy took his last boyfriend, and he isn't interested in hooking up with anyone, human or dragon. But once they get them there, he's insulted to find out he won't be admitted in...but his dragon-obsessed friends go on without him, leaving him to stand out in the snow, alone.
Thomas, a young linnorm serpentine dragon, is burned out on the omega scene. He feels like everyone--omegas and dragons alike--treat him differently because of his true form. If they don't want him, fine, he'd rather be alone forever. He just wishes alone didn't feel so lonely.
When Josh and Thomas meet, each thinks he has found a kindred spirit. But when passions begin to spark, Josh finds himself afraid of getting involved, and backs off. Thomas is furious over this, and swears off dating forever.
But they have already marked each other, and their connection can't be broken. They are in each other's thoughts, in each other's dreams, as much as they swear they want solitude. Can a chance encounter back at the club allow them to break through their fear, and see what they mean to each other? Can Josh get over his worries that lovers are too fragile? Can Thomas accept that he needs to love?
This M/M Dragon shifter romance short is a standalone, and features explicitly sexual scenes and an HEA ending.
