Next, unscrew the top nut and loosen the copper cap. Remove the old valve cap and lift valve components and dispose of them. Unscrew the nut on the copper post of the valve cap, then hand-tighten the valve cap component clockwise into the vacuum breaker. Tighten the top nut to secure the top cover. Finally, open the inlet ball valve to pressurize the equipment. Temporary splashing is normal, but once the equipment is fully pressurized, the "splashing" will automatically shut off.
